Grassy Sounds Grassy Sound is the swinging avant-surf duo of guitarist Nick Millevoi—who leads Desertion Trio and has worked with John Zorn, Nels Cline, and Chris Forsyth—and keyboard wiz Ron Stabinsky (Mostly Other People Do the Killing, Meat Puppets). They’re celebrating the release of their debut LP, The Sounds of Grassy Sound, alongside Brad Farberman’s all-star “weird-funk” ensemble Middle Blue.
